Following a successful European tour, the English version will premiere in Chicago from February 12 to March 15 at the Athenaeum Center for Thought & Culture.
The musical is based on historical accounts and personal testimonies, showcasing Bernadette's resilience and faith. With a talented creative team and support from notable producers, including Kelsey Grammer, the production seeks to connect with American audiences through its themes of faith, courage, and hope. Ferragu's personal connection to Lourdes and his rediscovery of Bernadette's humanity further enrich this theatrical experience.

Chicago - The Musical Chester Theatre reviews
Dark and Dim
I have seen Chicago 5 times in different cities and this one was terrible. The lighting which was supposed to affect prison bars made the stage so dark you could not see the dancers. The only really visible people were whoever had the spotlight on them. This was nonsense - one of the best aspects of this show is the dancing (it's Fosse by Verdon after all) and to miss it because the stage lighting was so dark was just pitiful. We had seats in the rear of the orchestra which on other occasions have been quite good but unless you were sitting in the first few rows for this production, you missed half the show. One of the members of my party had seen Chicago in Pennsylvania and agreed that this was a poor version. This is a 5 star musical ruined by the lighting director and reduced to 1 star but I had to add 2 stars back just for John O'herlihy.
